Module description
This module integrates critical evaluation of existing literature, with knowledge of methodological design to carry out impactful research within current academic debates. This will equip you with the knowledge necessary to navigate the landscape of management literature and identify novel, impactful and rigorous studies that contribute to your research topic. This includes identifying and critically evaluating existing academic work that is relevant to your proposed research. The techniques that you acquire in this module will equip you with skills for completing your DBA Literature Review and Methodology at later stages of the programme and understanding the links between these chapters.
Module aims - intentions of the module
This module’s primary aims are to:
- Enhance your ability to critically evaluate existing academic work related to your proposed research. By the end of the module, you should be adept at assessing the quality, relevance, and rigor of management literature, enabling you to make informed decisions in your research.
- Develop insight into methodological issues associated with research in management studies.
- Develop the ability to discern high-quality, relevant research, which is paramount for making informed decisions and contributing meaningfully to the field.
