Academic honesty and plagiarism

Resources for students

The most effective way of helping students to avoid plagiarism, and to properly reference their work, is through consistent messages, delivered by programme and module leaders in advance of assessments at every stage and level of the programme. However, Colleges are also recommended to point students to our online resource for students about Academic Honesty and Plagiarism in the 'UNIugskills' area of the University's Virtual Learning Environment, ELE.

The Student Skills team in Education Enhancement can deliver collaborative workshops in Colleges on the subject of academic honesty and plagiarism, as well as on referencing skills. For more information about how the team can help, contact the Student Academic Skills Development team.
