About this course:

This course is to establish a consistent and effective approach to managing UK and International travel on behalf of the University be it fieldwork (research), field trips (teaching) or travel only e.g.

attending conferences etc.

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:.

- Understand why we need risk assessments.

- Identify hazards and assess the risks.

- Understand the control measures that are within yours and the University's control.

- Understand the insurance process and what it means in practice.

- Understand Red24 and what they can/cannot do in reality.

Who should attend this course:

Staff that travel on University business.

This course is also appropriate for managers of staff that travel on University business.

This course is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for staff that travel for work on behalf of the University.
