About this course:

This course is designed to refresh and remind you of the principles of the ergonomic approach to lifting and handling operations.

The majority of this course is formed of practical sessions where you will risk assess tasks and rehearse various good handling techniques with some theory element.

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:.

- Understand the importance of assessing risks associated with lifting and handling tasks.

- Implement correct lifting and handling techniques

Who should attend this course:

Staff for whom manual handling (lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling) forms a significant part of their work that have previously attended manual handling training.

This course is mandatory (every 3 years) for staff that perform manual handling tasks on a regular basis.

Staff must have previously completed the full Manual handling Course to attend the Refresher.
