Abstract
There are widespread concerns about recent increases in the number of young people reporting poor mental health. Many theories have been proposed to explain these changes; however, no clear consensus has emerged. This talk will report on trends in young people's mental health, identifying where clues can be found to inform our evaluation of theories. It will then take a broad look at potential theories for these changes and examine the types of evidence that could be used to judge each.
The CYP Wellbeing @Exeter Research Network are pleased to invite you to this online seminar with Dr Matthias Pierce, Wellcome Trust Sir Henry Dale Fellow and Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for Women’s Mental Health, in the Division of Psychology and Mental Health at the University of Manchester. Staff and students from all disciplines are welcomed.
Event: Thursday 20th March, 12:00–13:00 online via TEAMS LINK
