2025 Exe-X South West Alumnae Group November Event

Join other female graduates (alumnae) on Tuesday 4th November for informal drinks, chat and to hear how the NWR has been connecting like-minded women since 1960

Event details

In 1960 a letter to the Guardian from new mother Maureen Nicol mooted the idea that 'housebound wives...with a desire to remain individuals should form a national register so that whenever one moves, one could contact like-minded friends'. She was inundated with enthusiastic responses and the result was the group now known as the National Women's Register. Today the NWR has 329 active groups and growing, and from Aberdeen to St Ives, groups of women meet for conversation, friendship and fun.

On 4th November we are delighted that Jan Caig from our local Exeter NWR group will be joining us at our networking drinks to tell us a little more about the NWR’s unique heritage, what it has meant to countless women over the years and to answer our questions.

As ever, this 'Networking Plus' event is a delightful opportunity to meet and chat with fellow female graduates. This is a free event and there is no need to book. Just turn up and you will find us in the Snug, just beyond the bar.
