Event FAQs

If you are a current student visiting this page, please visit Career Zone for more information on upcoming events.

Below are answers to some of our most commonly asked questions regarding our current event programme.

If you are delivering virtual events which are open to students from multiple universities, then you can upload these for promotion, via Handshake. You can read more about this free service, here.

For events that would be exclusively delivered for University of Exeter students, we advise you contact us in advance to ensure we can work with you to confirm suitable dates and avoid clashes with any similar activity we have scheduled. Please contact employer-events@exeter.ac.uk

We are expecting students to be taught face-to-face on our campuses, assuming it is safe to attend, and also live online.

We are planning for our careers fairs to take place in person on our campused in 2023-24, however this will be subject to the latest COVID-19 guidance and may therefore change.

For the latest information on our Streatham Campus (Exeter, Devon) fair programme and to find out how to exhibit at the events, please visit the Exeter careers fair page. For details on our Penryn Campus (near Falmouth, Cornwall) fair programme, please visit the Penryn careers fair page

Whilst many companies are continuing to opt to deliver virtual presentations, please get in touch with employer-events@exeter.ac.uk if you are considering delivering a Streatham campus (Exeter, Devon) on-campus event. For our Penryn campus (near Falmouth, Cornwall), please email es-penryn@exeter.ac.uk. All bookings are always subject to the latest COVID-19 guidance and may therefore change.

We are happy to talk through your plans for on-campus events. Please contact us to discuss the specifics of your proposed activity by emailing employer-events@exeter.ac.uk for Streatham campus (Exeter, Devon) events.

We have a skills team that deliver the majority of our skills sessions. Requests by employers to deliver skills sessions exclusive to Exeter students are considered on a case-by-case basis, to avoid duplication with our existing in-house provision. These sessions are currently being delivered in a virtual capacity, only. We are however, always keen to have employers conduct mock interviews, both virtual and in person, subject to the latest covid guidance. If this is of interest, we would like to hear from you. Please email employer-events@exeter.ac.uk to discuss with a member of our team.
