Grand Challenges 2018

Online Wellbeing Hub

According to a study conducted in 2017 by the National Union of Students (NUS), 78% of all students experienced a mental health difficulty, and 33% of these students having suicidal thoughts. Additionally, more than half of these students said they did not access the support available to them. Therefore this group aimed to compile all the services within one website,  available to all students through the University's app, to facilitate access to internal and external emergency/crisis services, and to provide support for students on the wellbeing waiting list, amongst other objectives.

During Grand Challenges week, this group created this project charter, outlining the purpose, objectives, problem and their proposed solution to the dire mental health situation prevalent within a university student population. They also made this poster to be presented at the Friday showcase.
