Award Day attendance information

All Awards Day will take place on on the University of Exeter Streatham Campus at 9.30am – 4.00pm. Whilst participants are welcome to attend by themselves, they are also invited to bring guests with them who will form a part of their support for completing the programme.  Complimentary morning refreshments and lunch will be provided for all attendees. The programme for the day will be sent out by email and there will be one programme for students and one for guests except for the welcome session where we all be together.  We know that some of you will be attending with younger siblings so please don’t worry if your guests need to take breaks from their programme with them.  There is plenty of indoor and outdoor space on campus as well as cafes so we hope that they can feel relaxed during the day as well.

To help you plan ahead the full list of Award Days is below:

  • 14th June 2025
  • 6th September 2025
  • 8th November 2025
  • 7th February 2026
  • 16th May 2026

We’ll send you reminders closer to the time along with details of plans for the days.  We also hope to run an Award graduation event in June 2026 to celebrate your achievements but will let you know more about this as you progress.  We expect all participants to attend all 5 Award Days however we know there are sometimes exceptional reasons why this might not be possible, so please be sure to let us know when this is the case so we can update your record.  You must attend a minimum of 3 in order to be presented with your Award at the end of the programme.

Getting to Award Days

Participant’s travel expenses will be refunded for all Award Days however we do need you to make your way to the event using the guidance below.  When you arrive, please make your way directly to the Forum, arriving anytime between 9.30am - 10.00am- number 3 on the map for registration. There will be a help desk set up in the middle of the forum for you to ask questions at any point in the day, and either a member of staff or Student Ambassador will be available.  We expect to have around 200 people at the Award Day to include both successful applicants and guests.

Arriving By Train

If you are coming from St David’s train station and walking up to campus, we would recommend that once you get to the edge of the campus you keep walking along the Prince of Wales Road until you reach the roundabout and traffic lights at the bottom of Stocker Hill, and then walk up Stocker Hill and you will see the Forum entrance at the top.  Give yourself enough time to walk as it is a big hill! Alternatively see the bus times below if you prefer to catch the bus from the station to the campus:

Arriving by Car

If you are arriving by car, please park at Visitor’s Car Park C or D- both are free to park in on weekends.  Student Ambassadors will be based at the car parks so they can direct you to the Forum.

Arriving by Bus

From 20 April 2025 there are some positive changes for customers using Line 4 to/from Streatham Campus. Here you can find the new line 4 Timetable which will bring you to campus:

4 Cranbrook – Honiton Road – City Centre – St Davids Station – University

You can view live bus times here:

If you would like any support on finding the bus time from a different location, please do let us know which bus stop you will be catching a bus from, and we will happily look this up for you and send you further guidance.

What to bring

Once you arrive at the Forum, there will be morning refreshments available plus a hoody and lanyard for you to collect on your first Award day! After collecting these and helping yourself to refreshments, student ambassadors will then direct you to the Forum Alumni Auditorium for the welcome session.  The speaker will vary each time and we will update you about this by email.  To help the day run smoothly we ask that you bring the following things with you to all Award Days:

  • Pen & small notebook
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Your lanyard and attached name tag (once collected at your first event)
  • Weather appropriate clothing i.e. a warm waterproof coat &/ umbrella if raining or suncream if it is hot.
  • Sensible shoes for walking around campus (it is hilly in places!)
  • If you are on the Sports Award then please come dressed prepared to participate in physical activities, i.e. comfortable clothing and trainers if available

We want this event to be as inclusive as possible for you and your family to attend so we will also provide some colouring books and other indoor age-appropriate activities in the Forum space just outside the Alumni Auditorium, to keep younger siblings occupied whilst sessions are taking place. Please note an adult will need to remain with any children attending as we cannot supervise any children on the parent or carers behalf.
