Module description

This simulation module will help you to develop essential clinical skills, clinical judgment, and professional confidence. Using a blend of immersive modalities—including drama, role-play, high-fidelity simulation, and virtual reality—you'll encounter realistic clinical scenarios that mirror diverse healthcare settings and will create opportunities for reflection and learning. These experiential learning opportunities will allow you to practice patient interactions, decision-making, and teamwork in a safe, supportive learning environment. By engaging deeply with these simulations, you will enhance your ability to think critically under pressure, improve your communication, and refine your clinical practice preparing you for real-world nursing challenges.

Module aims - intentions of the module

We pledge to deliver learning activities in line with ASPiH Standards ASPiH Standards 2023 ( Diaz-Navarro C, Laws-Chapman C, Moneypenny M, Purva M.

The ASPiH Standards - 2023: guiding simulation-based practice in health and care. Available from https://aspih.org.uk)

Within this module you will continue to work across the seven pillars of nursing; patient and public involvement, fundamental essentials of nursing care, evidence for practice; no health without mental health, leadership and management of healthcare, global health and ethics and professionalism

Academy of Nursing | Health and Care Professions | University of Exeter

Further to this you will continue to demonstrate proficiency against the NMC standards of education (https://www.nmc.org.uk/globalassets/sitedocuments/education-standards/future-nurse-proficiencies.pdf)
