Module description

Theories will be critically appraised, as will the models and the practice of implementation science in health and social care. In addition diagnostic, behaviour change and sociological models of implementation will be reviewed with strategies to increase utilisation of the scientific evidence base in health and social care that flow from these theoretical positions being explored. The module will be delivered in one week blocks punctuated with a formative or summative activity either alone or shared on-line within a cohort. Two face to face contact workshops will be complimented by a journal club delivered by webinar. The summative assessment will be in the form of an essay of 2,500 words.
