DESCRIPTION - summary of the module content

This module will provide the students with the set of personal and professional skills needed in their degree.

AIMS - intentions of the module

This module aims to give students the set of skills they will need in their future career as Physicists, as well as the skills they need to face some of the assessments in the curriculum.

INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES (ILOs) (see assessment section below for how ILOs will be assessed)
Module Specific Skills and Knowledge:
 
1 Develop the skills needed to face assessments in modules that need specific interdisciplinary skills: report writing, oral/multimedia presentations, poster creation.
2 Exams technique development.
 
Personal and Key Transferable/ Employment Skills and Knowledge:
 
3 Develop the student’s employability potential via a series of sessions devoted to CV writing, interview skills, and internship preparation

I. Skills development sessions on alternate weeks, led by a series of academics, the Study Skills zone, and external speakers.

II. Small group exam preparation workshop sessions on alternate weeks, led by academic staff members.
