Title: Clarify your references in Minecraft

In collaboration with Computer Science, IDSAI are delighted to welcome Professor Massimo Poesio, Professor in Computational Linguistics at Queen Mary University in London. His talk will be on ‘Clarify your references in Minecraft’.

Speaker's short bio: Massimo Poesio is a Professor in Computational Linguistics at Queen Mary University of London and a Professor of Natural Language Understanding at the University of Utrecht. His research interests include disagreements in language interpretation; anaphora resolution; the creation of semantically annotated corpora, in particular using games-with-a-purpose such as LingoTowns; the study of conceptual knowledge using a combination of methods from human language technology and neuroscience; semantic interpretation of verbal and non-verbal communication in interaction; and using NLP to combat deception, misinformation and offensive language online.
