I am a PhD student working under the supervision of Prof Karen Hudson-Edwards and Dr Hannah Hughes. My project is looking at technology metals within copper ore minerals. A lot of mining especially in the local Cornwall area has been done many years ago where we did not have the knowledge, or the need for technology metals crucial to many of our everyday items. With my project, I am exploring the potential of what has been left over in the rocks which was once extracted for copper.
