Overview
Mark manages the Humanities and Social Science Cornwall department on the Penryn Campus. HaSS Cornwall spans the disciplines of English, History, Law, Modern Languages, and Politics. Mark works closely with the Head of Department, Department Leadership Team, the Faculty and Cornwall Executives to support strategy and operations, linking academic staff with professional services colleagues.
Mark was previously Senior Administrator for the Environment and Sustainability Institute, as part of Research Services. Mark worked on secondment with the Straetgic Delivery Unit, project managing the Cornwall Campuses Covid-19 response.
Speak Out Guardianship
Mark is proud to be one of the University's Speak Out Guardians helping create an open culture where all colleagues are actively encouraged and enabled to speak out, specifically about any dignity and respect issues. He has personal experience of the effect that discrimination has on people, especially racism and homophobia. Mark is also one of the University's Domestic Abuse Awareness Champions and a Male Ally.
