How to apply
Applicants must apply to both the University and Fulbright separately. For this reason, it is recommended to make your University application prior to the opening of the Fulbright application portal.
The Fullbright US Student programme portal 'Embark' opens for new applications in April and closes in October, the year prior to scholars' intended start date. Fulbright then issue invitations for telephone interviews which are usually scheduled for the following February. Candidates receive the outcome of their scholarship application by the end of April after which Fulbright issue appropriate paperwork to the successful candidates in readiness for programmes starting in September / October. Further information about the application process is available on the Fulbright Commission website.
