Global Leaders Experience - UNITAR Geneva 2024

Global Leaders - UNITAR Geneva 2024

About the programme

We are once again partnering with UNITAR (United Nations Institute of Training and Research) to run a 5-day immersive programme focused on key themes and locations within the United Nations’ European Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland!

With an initial stop in Paris to spend your first day visiting the UNESCO headquarters at Place de Fontenoy, the trip will then travel to Geneva; giving you the chance to fully immerse yourselves in the host city of the main UN offices and gain first-hand experience of the United Nations.

UNITAR will host a number of activities in Geneva, mostly based within the historic Palais des Nations which can include but is not limited to:

  • Expert lectures from services such as the World Trade Organisation, Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO)

  • Training workshops on public speaking, consensus building and UN career insights

  • Private guided tours

  • Career development sessions

All with the aim to help you gain insight and take steps into building a career within the UN.

No prior experience or specific degree programme is necessary to join, in fact, we particularly encourage applications from students without relevant experience!

Programme activities take place roughly between 9:00-17:00 each day with free time available in the evenings. Please take this time commitment into account when applying in regards to assessment deadlines.
