Student Employment Fair

The newly rebranded Student Employment Fair is the University of Exeter's first careers fair of the academic year and provides students with a chance to meet face to face with employers wishing to promote part-time jobs, ‘casual’ roles, and internships.


We look forward to welcoming a range of companies, representing a variety of sectors, back to our Streatham campus for this popular fair on Wednesday 4th October 2023 from 11am - 3pm in The Forum Street.


Please be aware that this fair is not suitable for promoting volunteering opportunities or unpaid/chargeable roles.


The event is marketed to University of Exeter students from all years and disciplines and, especially for those studying at our Penryn, Cornwall campus, all attending employers and available roles will be advertised via Handshake, our careers platform.

**Please note that if you haven’t done so already, you will need to set up your Handshake account and connect with the University of Exeter to be able to access the event registration form.**



Setting up your account and connecting with us can be done here. You will then need to click ‘register’ to begin the booking process. If you are an agency, you must book under the client’s name and record.  


Most companies are eligible for our standard rate of £245+VAT except where special rates apply (please see below).    

  • Agency Rate - £355+VAT - all recruitment agencies and jobs portals.
  • Charity Rate £100+VAT - all registered charities recruiting to paid positions only. 


Due to high demand for this event, we recommend submitting your booking form promptly. Please note we limit the number of spaces available to recruitment agencies and jobs portals. Limited spaces are available for those who are eligible for our discounted rate and are allocated at our discretion.


All fair charges (irrespective of rate) include:

  • A stand space (2.5m width x 2m depth approx.) - only suitable for slim (roll-up) banner stands. Please be aware if you bring a larger stand, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to display it.
  • One table (1.5m width x 0.55m depth x 0.74m height) and two chairs.
  • WiFi access.
  • An electrical point.
  • Lunch for two exhibitors.*
  • Tea, coffee, water and importantly, biscuits, are available to exhibitors throughout the day.
  • One parking space depending on availability.

*Lunch: Two lunches are included with a fair booking. If more than two colleagues from your organisation attend the fair and require lunch, these will be subject to an additional charge. You are of course also welcome to purchase lunch from one of the outlets on campus, however this will not be covered by your fair attendance fee.

Invoicing will take place after the event. Failure to provide accurate invoicing details may result in a processing fee of up to £30.

Cancellation must be received in writing. Please email by Sunday 3rd September 2023 if you wish to cancel your booking.

If you cancel your booking after Sunday 3rd September or fail to attend the fair, regardless of reason, please note we reserve the right to request payment in full to cover incurred costs.
