Our final recruitment fair of the academic year welcomes companies from a range of sectors and is used to promote casual, part-time and summer work, internships/vacation schemes, year-in-industry placements, graduate roles and postgraduate study. 

A smaller event in comparison to our autumn careers fairs, the Summer Recruitment Fair provides an intimate opportunity to meet with approximately 400 current Exeter students. The event is marketed to Exeter students from all years and disciplines, so you can expect those in the first year through to their final year to attend. Our graduates are also welcome.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus) 

The University remains committed to ensuring the safety of those participating in our events. Whilst we are now taking bookings for this fair, we continue to closely monitor the situation surrounding COVID-19. We would like to offer our reassurance that you will not be charged for your booking with us should the fair be cancelled due to COVID-19.

Most companies are eligible for our standard rate of £255+VAT except where special rates apply – please see below.  

  • Agency Rate - £300+VAT – all national recruitment agencies (based outside Devon, Cornwall and Somerset) and jobs portals  

  • Charity Rate - £145+VAT – all registered charities recruiting to paid positions only 

  • Local SME Rate - £75+VAT – all small and medium enterprises (250 or fewer staff/less than £50million turnover) based in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset only


Due to high demand for this event, we strongly recommend submitting your booking form promptly. Limited spaces are available for those who are eligible for our discounted rate and are allocated at our discretion. 

The fair charges include: 

  • A stand space (2.5m width x 2m  depth approximately) - only suitable for slim (roll-up) banner stands 

  • One table (1.5m width x 0.55m depth x 0.74m height) and two chairs 

  • One electrical point 

  • Wi-Fi access (subject to restrictions; you may need to bring a dongle if you have an encrypted laptop) 

  • Packed lunch for two exhibitors(not included for internal exhibitors)

  • Tea, coffee, water and biscuits available throughout the day 

  • Car parking permit for one vehicle 

  • Standard entry in our fair booklet 


Where applicable invoicing will take place after the event.  Failure to provide accurate invoicing details may result in a processing fee of up to £30. 

The fair will take place in The Forum, University of Exeter, Stocker Road, Exeter, Devon EX4 4PZ. The event will open to students from 11:00 to 14:00. 

Access to the building is from 09:00 to 16:00.

Cancellation must be received in writing by emailing by 5th April 2023. Cancellations received after this date will result in the full cost being incurred. Failure to attend the fair, regardless of reason, will result in the full charge being levied. 

In the event that the University of Exeter cancels the Summer Recruitment Fair due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), you will not be charged for your booking with us.
