Our final recruitment fair of the academic year welcomes companies from a range of sectors and is used to promote casual, part-time and summer work, internships/vacation schemes, year-in-industry placements, graduate roles and postgraduate study.
A smaller event in comparison to our autumn careers fairs, the Summer Recruitment Fair provides an intimate opportunity to meet with approximately 400 current Exeter students. The event is marketed to Exeter students from all years and disciplines, so you can expect those in the first year through to their final year to attend. Our graduates are also welcome.

Most companies are eligible for our standard rate of £255+VAT except where special rates apply – please see below.

Agency Rate - £300+VAT – all national recruitment agencies (based outside Devon, Cornwall and Somerset) and jobs portals

Charity Rate - £145+VAT – all registered charities recruiting to paid positions only

Local SME Rate - £75+VAT – all small and medium enterprises (250 or fewer staff/less than £50million turnover) based exclusively in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset only
Due to high demand for this event, we strongly recommend submitting your booking form promptly.
Please note limited spaces are available for those who are eligible for our discounted rate and are allocated at our discretion. Whilst this event is open to a variety of companies, it is not suitable for teaching agencies seeking to engage with our PGCE students, those offering volunteering opportunities or unpaid/chargable internships.
The fair charges include:

A stand space (2.5m width x 1.5m depth approximately) - only suitable for slim (roll-up) banner stands

One table (1.5m width x 0.55m depth x 0.74m height) and two chairs

One electrical point

Wi-Fi access (subject to restrictions; you will need to bring a dongle if you have an encrypted laptop)

Lunch tickets for two exhibitors (not included for internal exhibitors)

Tea, coffee, water and biscuits available throughout the day

Car parking permit for one vehicle

Invoicing will take place after the event. Failure to provide accurate or complete invoicing details, including supplier forms and purchase order numbers in advance of the event and by any deadlines outlined, may result in a processing fee of up to £100.
The fair will take place at University of Exeter Forum, Stocker Road, Exeter, Devon EX4 4PZ.
The event will open to students from 11:00 to 14:00.
Access to the building is from 09:00 to 16:00.
Cancellation must be received in writing by emailing employer-events@exeter.ac.uk by 10 April 2024. Cancellations received after this date will result in the full cost being incurred. Failure to attend the fair, regardless of reason, will result in the full charge being levied.
