International Welcome Programme Cornwall

Welcome to Cornwall!

Our International Welcome Programme is a designed to welcome you to the university and to help you settle into your new life with us. Our Welcome Programme includes tours, shopping trips, socials, talks in person and online. Come and get one of our International Welcome Bags at International Student Clearance (available to first 150 students). 

Unless otherwise stated, all events will be held on the Tremough Campus.

Join us for a trip to St Ives, one of Cornwall’s most picturesque seaside towns. This trip is a great way to explore Cornwall and make some friends along the way. This trip is created for international students as part of the international student welcome programme, however all students are welcome. 

St Ives is famous for its stunning beaches, quaint fishing harbour, and charming cobbled streets lined with shops and cafés. You could spend time exploring the beaches and town, take a boat trip to spot seals and dolphins, hike along the South West coast path, or take in some art at the Tate St Ives gallery, the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden, and the Leach Pottery.  You will be free to explore and spend the day as you wish in this beautiful Cornish town.

Falmouth town tour

Get to know your town as we explore the high street and the best spots along the way. We will be travelling from The Moore to Gylly beach. The walk should take 40 minutes. We will be travelling at a slow pace enjoy the views along the way.
