Campus Cleaning
Facilities Management (cleaning services)
The team of circa 180 cleaning staff provide a 24/7, 365 day a year cleaning service across both campus in support of academic building and student accommodation
The University of Exeter’s Cleaning Teams provide a range of cleaning services across both our Exeter campuses and University owned and managed accommodation in the city.
All staff are qualified and trained to BICSc (British Institute of Cleaning Science) standards and currently follow Public Health England guidance on cleaning during the COVID-19 pandemic. During the current COVID-19 pandemic our Cleaning Teams, alongside other colleagues in CIOSS are providing enhanced cleaning support across both Exeter campuses to a wide variety of activities and buildings.
The link below to the 2021 2002 Cleaning Support Matrix details the level of routine cleaning taking place in addition to our responses to suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Cleaning Support Matrix 2021-2022
In addition to the Cleaning Support Matrix please see two documents below for reference;
COVID Secure Building and Office Support – this spreadsheet details the location of cleaning stations within office buildings, location of staff rooms where additional cleaning supplies are held and shower locations where cleaning materials are supplied. These ‘stations’ are checked and re-supplied when needed on a daily basis
Face Covering Stations – The University states there is a “strong expectation face coverings are worn in shared indoor spaces”. The spreadsheet below shows where disposable face coverings and some clear face coverings will be held if any staff and students require them.
