An evening at RSA House – Arts and Media Showcase

Alumni are warmly invited to attend an evening at the RSA House in London.

Event details

Guests will be welcomed at 6.30pm to the stunning RSA House with a drinks and canapes reception held in the Benjamin Franklin room.  Head of Communications, Drama and Film at the University of Exeter, Professor Jane Milling, will say a few words to officially start the evening which will be compèred by alumnus Rob Walker (English and Drama 1997) of BBC fame.

We will then take our seats in the Great Room ready for our inspiring alumni guest speakers to sit down in conversation with Linda Ruth Williams (Professor of Film at Exeter) and Mark Kermode (film critic and broadcaster, and Honorary Professor of Film at Exeter). The discussion will include how they developed their exciting careers after graduating, the pros and cons of working in the British and international performance and screen industries, sustaining a creative career across the years, and the support and mentors they encountered along the way. Following the discussion, there will be an opportunity for audience members to ask questions.

You are encouraged to stay and chat with fellow alumni, University staff and our guest speakers over drinks. Spaces at this special evening are limited and are on a first come first served basis and will close on the 5th March so please do book here as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

We are delighted to announce that the guest speakers joining us will be Alice Birch (English 2009), Jessica Swale (Drama 2004) and Marc Wootton (Drama 1996).
