What is Clearing and how do I apply?
Clearing is just another way to apply to university. There are various reasons why you might go through Clearing - you might be applying after the UCAS deadline, or if you didn’t meet the conditions of your offers, or if you’ve declined your firm place. You might even be thinking of changing your mind about what or where you want to study.
Our Clearing vacancies are now closed for 2026 entry. You can find out more about future undergraduate study opportunities at the University of Exeter on our undergraduate degrees webpages.

We’re here to help
If you already have an offer from us
If you’re an existing Exeter offer-holder, you should check your status in UCAS Hub.
Decisions will be sent to UCAS as we start to receive results throughout June and July. For applicants taking A-Levels, please check your UCAS Hub from 08:00 on Thursday 13 August.
If you already have an offer from us but want to change course, please do not apply through Clearing. Instead please contact our Admissions team at: ug-ad@exeter.ac.uk (putting 'Request to change course' in the email subject).
