Clearing 2024

Clearing 2024. Find your place.

View vacancies for international students »    View vacancies for UK students »

Apply to us through Clearing and you could be part of the University of Exeter this September.

We still have places available on courses starting this September. If you have your results, you can apply for a Clearing place from 3 July.

Remember that available courses will change throughout Clearing: vacancies will be reviewed once we have the majority of results and a new (likely broader) list will be published on A-Level results day (15 August 2024).

If you don’t have your results yet, you can still get prepared and sign up now for exclusive Clearing guidance and information about your student experience.

If you are holding a conditional offer at Exeter and have received your results, please make sure these are sent to the Admissions Office at ug-ad@exeter.ac.uk.

Final decisions will be communicated to you via UCAS and your status will be updated in UCAS Hub.

If you have firmly accepted our conditional offer but don’t meet the terms exactly, please still send your results to the Admissions Office as we will reconsider your application. In some instance’s we may not be able to make a final decision until August, when we will need to take into consideration your actual performance and the performance of others applying for the same course. Find out more about how Clearing works.

For applicants taking A-Levels:

Please check your UCAS Hub from 08:00 on Thursday 15 August.

If you already have an offer from us but want to change course:

Please do not apply through Clearing. Instead, please contact our Admissions team at: ug-ad@exeter.ac.uk (putting 'Request to change course' in the email subject).

What is Clearing?

Clearing is just another way to apply to university. There are various reasons why you might go through Clearing - you might be applying after the UCAS deadline, or if you didn’t meet the conditions of your offers, or if you’ve declined your firm place.

Our friendly staff are here to support you throughout your journey – find out more about preparing for Clearing.
