Colleagues and students are invited to join the Language and Education Network for a language quiz and informal chat on the 16 December 5pm (UK time).
The idea is to have some fun with languages! Make sure you make yourself comfortable have a drink of your choice to hand, and perhaps some biscuits, and join the fun. No prior knowledge needed.
This quiz is designed as a collaborative effort, please send in one interesting or surprising language fact, with multiple choice answers, e.g. “how many official languages does Switzerland have?” Answers: 1, 4, 8, 12 (please indicate the correct answer!). The answer can also be words, e.g. names of languages. Quiz questions wil be collated and the quiz prepared, we will include as many as we can where possible. Please send your question for inclusion to g.s.meier@exeter.ac.uk by Friday 11 Dec. 2020.
