Environmental Intelligence Conference 2021

The theme of this year's Environmental Intelligence conference is 'Beyond COP26: The Road to Net Zero'.

Join us for an exciting line-up of speakers who will showcase their work using transformative technologies to support the UK's Net Zero ambitions, as well as a session exploring opportunities to engage with, and support, the next generation of environmental and data scientists ('El Next Generation').

The theme of this year's Environmental Intelligence conference is 'Beyond COP26: The Road to Net Zero'.

The Joint Centre for Excellence in Environmental Intelligence (JCEEI) is a collaboration between the Met Office and the University of Exeter providing the expertise, skills, and capability to fully utilise Al in order to address challenges facing society, including climate change.

The JCEEI pioneers the use of Environmental Intelligence to provide the meaningful insight needed to inform decision-making and improve risk management, leading us towards a sustainable interaction with the natural environment and delivery of Net Zero.

The theme of this year's conference is 'Beyond COP26: The Road to Net Zero'.

Dr Kirstine Dale - BSc MBA MRes MA - Principal Fellow for Data Sciences / Co-Director for Joint Centre for Excellence in Environmental Intelligence.

Professor Gavin Shaddick - Chair of Data Science and Statistics at the University of Exeter and Co-Director of the Joint Centre for Excellence in Environmental Intelligence.

Poster submissions:

There will be on-line poster sessions with opportunities for Q&A. These will take place on both days. Participants are invited to submit poster abstracts for consideration by the organising committee.

If you wish to submit an abstract, please register and provide us with details of your poster by Friday 5 November.

All posters will be aligned to the conference sessions:

  • Harnessing Science in Practise to deliver Net Zero
  • Harnessing AI to achieve Net Zero

If your poster is confirmed for inclusion, the deadline for submissions will be Monday 22 November, as the posters will be made available to participants prior to the event.
