Nurturing Inclusivity: Tackling the Challenge of SEND and Mental Health in Education
This the 2nd South West SENCo conference that promotes the role of Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCo’s) in improving practice for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Our keynote speakers Professor Emeritus Brahm Norwich and Dr Darren Moore will critically discuss the link between special needs and inclusive education and mental health and unpack the tensions and challenges around governmental decisions to keep these as distinct agendas.
This conference provides a forum for local authority staff, educational leaders, SENCos and practitioners to share ideas and practice, to network and ask questions with colleagues.
SENCos, and doctoral students from across the region to share their research on a range of topics with emphasis given on the intersection between SEND and mental health.
