Dr Victoria Moye, a Health Care Professions Council registered Clinical Scientist in Genetics, discusses various areas of work in a diagnostic NHS genetics laboratory and relates them to recent research findings.
Examples include the development of non-invasive prenatal testing for Down’s syndrome and predicting patient response to particular drugs.
