Conducting Cross-Cultural Survey Research
This workshop aims to cover key methodological issues such as survey quality (comparability, translation), sampling and questionnaire design, data processing and statistical adjustment (i.e. survey weights). The session seeks to identify the challenges of this type of empirical research, discuss examples in social sciences and provide tools examining data from large N comparative data sets across cultures. This workshop is supported by the ESRC funded Comparative Cross-National Electoral Research (CCNER) project and the Centre for Elections, Media and Participation (CEMaP).
