Research Collaboration in Brazil – funding and networking opportunities

Hosted by the Global Systems Institute

Event details

Event information

The Global Systems Institute is hosting a workshop for all researchers interested in collaboration with researchers in Brazil.

The Brazilian government is currently investing heavily in the internationalisation of higher education and there are a number of new schemes available to support collaboration.

Research funding opportunities are available at an institutional level in addition to national and state funding. This workshop will provide an overview of these opportunities and provide advice on how to access the new funding. Brazil is also currently on the ODA DAC list and eligible for GCRF funding. This will also be covered in the workshop.

There are several researchers across the University who are collaborating with counterparts in Brazil. This workshop will also provide an opportunity for individuals to briefly share information on their collaborations and highlight any of the opportunities and challenges of conducting research in Brazil.

There will be time for networking during the workshop.

Workshop aims

The aims of the workshop are:

- Highlight research collaboration funding opportunities from both Brazilian and UK sources.
- Share existing Exeter-Brazil collaborative research knowledge and experience.
- Provide an opportunity for networking with colleagues.
