Professor Dong Nguyen is assistant professor at Utrecht University. She was previously a research fellow at the Turing Institute. She completed her Ph.D. at the University of Twente having received a master's degree from the Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Twente.
Professor Nguyen has worked on various topics in Natural Language Processing and Information Retrieval. She is especially interested in computational text analysis for research questions from the social sciences and humanities. She often studies social media data.
