AHRC SWWDTP PhD Studentships Now Open

The Arts and Humanities Research Council South, West & Wales Doctoral Training Partnerships (AHRC SWWDTP) is currently offering a total of 48 PhD studentships. This is a key opportunity for Humanities, Arts and qualitive Social Science students who want to study at the University of Exeter. Students can apply for a Student-led award or a Collaborative Doctoral Award (CDA), or both. There are many benefits to receiving an award, including but not limited to:

  • Tuition fees paid at the level of a UK home student
  • Full maintenance stipend
  • Comprehensive training programme

Many previous SWWDTP-funded student researchers have gained invaluable experience on placements as part of their studentships – read more here. Many more have joined cross-disciplinary research clusters to extend their development and training, as well as establishing Question, SWWDTP’s flagship journal, which regularly publishes work both by DTP and external PhD students. Clearly, the benefits of a PhD studentship with SWWDTP extend beyond those listed above.

Applications close at midnight on Monday 16th January 2023. Non-UK students are eligible to apply.
Visit the SWWDTP website to apply.
