Module description

Undertaking the End Point Assessment (EPA) is a mandatory component of the Level 6 Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Apprenticeship which is delivered at University of Exeter using the Graduate Certificate Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner programme. The EPA will be undertaken within a 6-month period after completing all taught modules of the Graduate Certificate Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner programme.

The EPA consists of two discrete assessments, conducted by an End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO). To pass this module, you must complete both assessments.

This module is a part of the dual-qualification Graduate Certificate Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner / Level 6 Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Apprenticeship programme. It cannot be taken as an elective by students on other programmes.

Module aims - intentions of the module

This module is designed to ensure you are able to demonstrate the Knowledge Skills and Behaviours (KSBs) for the award of the Level 6 Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Apprenticeship into the Graduate Certificate Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner programme.

The Level 6 Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Apprenticeship standard gives a list of Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs) – this can be found here: https://www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/apprenticeship-standards/psychological-wellbeing-practitioner-v1-2.  The KSBs are the content that will be tested in the EPA. This module will not teach the KSBs and does not include any specific teaching activities but will include support from Academic Mentors as you go through the EPA process.

  • 1. Explain how your academic work during the Graduate Certificate Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner and in your work role as an apprentice meets the requirements and KSBs for the Level 6 Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Apprenticeship (All KSBs).
  • 2. Demonstrate that you meet the KSBS for the Level 6 Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Apprenticeship through two practical demonstrations. (All KSBs)
  • 3. Prepare and deliver a presentation that appropriately covers the KSBs assigned to this method of assessment. The presentation will be based on work undertaken during apprenticeship and will cover a topic of interest relevant to your caseload. (All KSBs
