Module description
The portfolio presents evidence from your real-work projects and is used to help you to answer questions in the Professional Discussion element of your End Point Assessment. The portfolio contains evidence from projects that you have completed. It will showcase elements of work that describe your competences and enabling you to demonstrate how you have applied your knowledge, skills and behaviours in a real-work environment to achieve real-work objectives. The portfolio is evidence that you have applied the knowledge, skills and behaviours in the Standard. Employers, with support from the university, will assist you to assemble your portfolio to ensure that the portfolio is completed to a satisfactory standard.

This module is a part of MSc Digital and Technology Solutions (Integrated Degree Apprenticeship) programme. It cannot be taken as an elective by students on other programmes.

Module aims - intentions of the module
The module aims to provide a bridge between theory and practice. It runs concurrently across the programme, culminating when the project scoping document is submitted. During the module you will complete a portfolio that evidences the application of your learning across the programme. The portfolio will comprise a series of case studies designed to showcase your achievement of the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours outlined in the Digital and Technology Solutions Specialist Apprenticeship Standard; these case studies will be supported with accompanying examples from your working practice of how you have applied your learning in the workplace. Your final portfolio will inform the Professional Discussion as part of your End Point Assessment for your apprenticeship

Syllabus plan
The syllabus is interwoven with the compulsory modules, drawing from and building on content and materials covered in those modules. The module will include taught masterclasses, one following each set of compulsory modules and associated self-guided learning activities and peer-led action learning groups. The syllabus content will reflect current technology debates and direct the application of digital technology solutions skills and behaviours in the workplace. The module will provide protected time for portfolio development with guidance and support from Academic Mentors to evidence academic and vocational learning in the portfolio.
