Module description

On this intensive introductory module, running four days a week in weeks 1-5 of term 1, you will explore the essentials of acting for screens in a series of studio and location-based exercises. You will explore essential skills of voice, body, movement for screens, in studio with multi-camera, on location, and with automated dialogue replacement. Developing your praxis, learning and reflecting by doing, skills-based exercises include script analysis and analysis of leading exponents on screen performance. Workshop expert-classes from industry specialists will enhance your experience over the course of the module. You will be assessed on your development of process into performance extracts, captured digitally (70%) and a digital reflection vlog (totalling no more than 20 minutes) 30%.
