Module description
History has never only been about the past: it has also frequently reflected how societies think about themselves and imagine the future. How have historians’ writings from various places and traditions contributed to new ways of seeing and transforming the world? What role might they play right now in pressing debates over the great political, ideological, environmental, racial, technological or societal issues of our time? And how have historians understood and negotiated their roles as chroniclers of the past, and advocates for new futures?
