Teachers and Advisers
Welcome to the University of Exeter’s teachers’ and advisers’ pages.
We work with schools and colleges across the UK, offering a selection of activities and programmes encouraging students to consider higher education institutions, such as the University of Exeter, as a realistic and achievable goal. We also offer a selection of events and resources to enrich subject specific curriculum delivery and to help participants to develop skills and knowledge in support of their in-school attainment.
There is a dedicated member of staff working with schools in each region across the UK to ensure that our students receive relevant guidance and advice to make informed decisions about their future educational pathways.
If you are a student, please visit our Discover University webpage. This is full of resources and event listings to help you in your journey to Higher Education.
We may be able to deliver workshops and presentations in school, attend Higher Education and Careers fairs, and host campus visits; please use the Schools Booking System to submit a request. We also host campus visits on set days at our Streatham and Penryn campuses; please see the Events open for bookings page for further information.
Exeter Scholars is a free programme which gives eligible students the opportunity to find out more about university, develop a passion for a chosen subject, and gain experience of student life at the University of Exeter. It is offered for students in the South West and nationally, with pathways starting in Year 10 and Year 12. Find out more here.
Using our world leading teaching expertise, research expertise and facilities, our teams run a wide range of subject-specific curriculum enrichment and course discovery events on campus and in school, and virtual opportunities are offered, as are teacher toolkits and other subject specific resources. Find out more and see our upcoming events here.
We offer resources for teachers to use in classrooms, provide admissions updates, as well as our ‘In Conversation’ series which looks at topical higher education issues from a university perspective. We also support Advancing Access by attending teacher and adviser conferences, designing and delivering webinars, and delivering CPD in schools and colleges across the UK.
We believe all students should have equal and fair access to Higher Education. We also recognise that studying at university isn’t as straightforward for everyone, and depending on financial, personal or ethnic background, students may face additional challenges in both accessing Higher Education and throughout their studies. Find out more about our support here.
In person campus tours run each week across our three campuses. We also have 360 virtual tours if you’re unable to visit us in person. Information on our Open Days can be found here.
