Got an idea?
We are pleased to be able to sponsor University of Exeter (UoE) led events and seminars, within the HASS and HASS – STEMM research areas, that have the potential to:
- Lead to exciting interdisciplinary collaborations or partnerships (internal and/or external)
- Develop interdisciplinary research ideas that could lead to an external research application
- Generate discussions and/or debate around interdisciplinary themes
- Raise the profile of interdisciplinary research
- Offer training or development to benefit interdisciplinarity
- Provide a external knowledge exchange function
If you, as a UoE researcher at any stage of your career, have an idea for an event or seminar and you think it links to SCI’s aims and/or research themes, please email societiesandcultures@exeter.ac.uk and we will book in a discussion meeting with you.
The benefits of sponsorship
As a UoE researcher, there are multiple benefits to having an event or seminar sponsored by SCI, including but not limited to:
- Raising the profile of your event, thereby increasing the potential to deliver on your event aims
- Guidance and discussion on your event aims, format, delivery and audience (if required)
- Potential for some administrative support to be provided
What we expect from you
In return for our sponsorship and support, depending on the level of our involvement, we would expect:
- Acknowledgement of SCI support any material pertaining to your event, including the SCI logo
- For on-line material, a link to SCI’s website should be included
- Communication with the SCI Institute Co-ordinator should be maintained during the organisation of the event to enable timely reporting and/or publicity on the SCI website
