Module description
This module is for LLB with Legal Placement students. It is a non-credit bearing module that aims to help you as a student on placement programmes prepare for the placement year that will take place in the third year of your degree. The module aims to provide you with relevant skills to help orient you to workplace requirements.

Syllabus plan
This is an on-line module. The module includes 6 x 1 hour on-line sessions on the following topics:
- Setting and managing expectations: how to succeed on a placement
- Professionalism and ethics in the workplace
- Health and Safety in the Workplace
- Using technology to do research
- Reflecting on your work experience
- Career planning, CV writing and using LinkedIn effectively.

Re-assessment notes
This module is not formally assessed and does not bear any credits. However it is possible to fail this module. Students are required to work their way through the exercises online and independently and if they do not pass to retake the assignments until a pass is achieved (unlimited attempts). Those students who fail to meet the requirements of the module without due cause will be transferred back to the three year LLB programme.
