Ecumenical Events

What is ecumenism?

An ecumenical event is one in which different Christian denominations (such as Anglican, Baptist, Catholic, for example) join in worship and/or fellowship together.

The purpose of Ecumenism is to promote unity, cooperation and understanding between Christians of different theological traditions. The variety of denominations today is the result of historical schisms within churches. Ecumenism seeks to collaborate on shared theological, social and charitable endeavours, so ecumenical services and events are consciously arranged to be inclusive of different theological beliefs.

For more information about these events please contact the Anglican Chaplaincy. All events are free of charge unless otherwise indicated.
