Why study Ecology and Conservation?

You might also be interested in our courses in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry and Biological & Medicinal Chemistry at Streatham Campus.

Our degrees are led by some of the UK’s top biologists working in evolution, conservation and ecology. Our teaching introduces new concepts in research and demonstrates how these are applied practically in the field.

You will benefit from excellent student-staff ratios, small group tutorials and welcoming and supportive staff.

We offer field courses in exciting local, national and international destinations. Students also have the opportunity to include a professional placement or a paid year in industry as part of their degree.

Undergraduate Field Courses in Ecology & Conservation

One of the highlights of studying Ecology & Conservation at the University of Exeter, Cornwall is the opportunity to undertake fieldwork, during daytrips and 6 and 10 day-long field courses during your second and third year respectively.  Read more about the kind of trips you can experience.

The thing I enjoy most about my studies is when you take a module around a topic that really resonates with you. There’s nothing more empowering as a student than learning the ‘ins and outs’ of a topic area you’re wildly passionate about, taught by someone who’s made it their life’s work.
