An Exeter Law degree delivers a rigorous understanding of legal principles as well as an examination of law in different theoretical and social contexts, with a constant eye on regional and global developments. The experience of studying law in applied settings; through community legal projects, advocacy, pro bono work, small learning communities, mooting, or via a 4-year work placement programme; is a characteristic of the Exeter approach.

Our degrees give students the skills necessary to pursue a career as a lawyer and will also equip you with a firm foundation for other careers. Students studying in Cornwall will also have the opportunity of studying with the University’s Business School in Penryn.

The University of Exeter has been the right choice for me, undoubtedly. Its healthy mix of focused study and welcoming social environments, as well as the support that the staff are willing to provide, makes the process of going, surviving and thriving in university not only achievable, but relatively easy to accomplish.

Going to university could very easily turn into a daunting process without the right kind of support and environment, and I have been fortunate enough to find comfort in both here.
