Exeter Asian Society, Exeter Hindu Society, the University of Exeter and the Students' Guild invites you to come and celebrate the Festival of Lights

  • When? Sunday 30 October 2016, 3.00 - 6.30pm
  • Where? Forum, Streatham Campus (unless otherwise stated)

3.00pm Opening Puja ceremony
3.15pm Welcome Address
3.30- 4.45pm Explore the regions of India with the Asian and Hindu Societies:
lassi, market stalls, face painting, dance workshops, paint a diya, dress in Bollywood outfits for photographs, show off your bollywood acting, henna tattoos, costumes, Dhol drummers

There will be Indian food delicacies available from each of India's regions to purchase and try.
5.00pm Dance performance from our talented Asian Society troupe in the Great Hall.
6.00pm Procession to the fireworks. Fireworks will be viewed from the rear of the XFI building

Parking
Campus parking is free on Sunday. Please follow signs for Car Parks A and B and walk to the Forum.

Families
This event has been designed with students and families in mind and all are welcome. Please note, however, that there is no creche facility available and parents are responsible for their children whilst attending the event.
