Arrival Information

Exeter Campuses (Streatham & St Lukes)

Our International Welcome Programme will welcome you to the university and help you settle into your new life with us. The Inbound Team will host a Welcome talk on Wednesday 18th January at 1:30PM GMT in Newman Green for all Exeter-based exchange students to attend. 

Social events must be booked in advance online here. Bookings will open on 1 January but please wait until you are in the UK or have a confirmed arrival date before booking your tickets. You can see a timetable of the scheduled events below:

For students arriving early to Exeter, we will be running an early arrivals orientation on Friday 13th January.

We will be holding a Welcome Talk and after you will have the chance to join us for a campus tour and complete your document clearance. You will need to book the free tickets on Fixr to attend - tickets open January 1st and close on January 13th.

Early Arrivals Welcome Talk

10am-1pm | Bateman Lecture Theatre, Business School

Join Team Inbound for the Welcome Talk with guest speakers to get you settled into Exeter! Meet us at Bateman Lecture Theatre, Streatham Campus Business School at 10AM. By attending on Friday 13th, you will not need to attend the main Orientation session on Wednesday 18th. 

1pm - 2pm | Bateman Lecture Theatre, Business School

The Inbound Team will be available to 1:1 appointments regarding module study support. Otherwise you can use this time to get some lunch. 

International Student Clearance

2pm-4pm | Forum Library Foyer, Streatham Campus

  • For all non-UK students who need to present their passport and immigration status or visa to the University.
  • Collect your BRP card if it was sent to the University.
  • Collect your UniCard.

St. Ives Trip

Saturday 21 January | 8.45am-6pm | Meet Rennes Drive Bus Stop (EX4 4PU)

Price: £12 (book online from 01 January, closes 12 noon Friday 20 January)

Discover the beautiful seaside town of St Ives in Cornwall, one of the gems of the Cornish Coast. Three beaches, beautiful artisan shops, art galleries and more fish and chips and ice cream than you could possibly want!
Journey time to St Ives is approximately 2 hours.

Please note we are unable to keep a reserve list. Full refunds are available if cancellation is sent to s.ohara@exeter.ac.uk by 19 January.

Cathedral Tour

Wednesday 25 January | 6.30pm to 8.30pm | Meet at Forum Student Services at 17.45 or at Cathedral front doors 18.15

Enjoy a private evening tour of our 12th century cathedral with the museum guides. This is a must see for students new to Exeter and interested in the history of our city.

Cream Tea

Friday 27 January | 4pm - 5pm| Reed Hall, EX4 4QR

Join us in Reed Hall, one of the most beautiful buildings on campus, for a traditional cream tea. Meet new friends and learn a bit more about Devon!

Penryn Campus

Our International Welcome Programme will welcome you to the university and help you settle into your new life with us. We will host a Welcome talk on Wednesday 18th January at 10AM GMT in The Lounge at Tremough House for all Penryn-based exchange students to attend.
