Special Interest Groups

IDSAI works with many groups interested in data science and AI. These meet regularly either online or at the Streatham campus. Below is a selection:-

Data Crunch:

This group is headed up by Sabina Leonelli and Niccolò Tempini and is a breakfast discussion group based on the IDSAI Research Theme, Data Ethics, Governance and Openness. The Group meet weekly on a Monday morning online between 09:00-10:00 during term time. To find out more, click here. To join the mailing list, contact IDSAI.

Theory Crunch:

This group is headed up by Richard Everson and Fabrizio Costa and is an informal group based on the IDSAI Research Theme, Foundations of Data Science. The Group meets on a fortnightly basis on a Tuesday between 12:30-13:30 during term time in the IDSAI space, room M1, Innovation Centre Phase 1 Building. Humanities Forums (Humanities and AI; Space and Place)

The Digital Humanities Lab hosts two discussion groups:

AI & the Humanities is a fortnightly forum for anyone with an interest in the intersection of these fields to share skills, experience and opinions.

Space & Place in the Humanities is a fortnightly forum for anyone with an interest in geospatial and place-based methods, concepts, and technologies relating to the humanities.
All are welcome.
